OUR STORY

Farm Fierce began as a small idea in July of 2020, right as the world was on lockdown for the COVID-19 pandemic, however the livestock industry kept moving forward with plans to show. While I was stuck at home (because let’s face it, there’s only so much you can do with sheep in the Texas heat), I found myself needing something more to occupy my time. With seven sheep on feed for my junior year of high school, I quickly realized there was a big need for more leg wraps for our show stock. In July, I started making them for our own animals.

As I kept sewing and doing some research, I saw an opportunity to turn this hobby into something more. By August of 2020, Farm Fierce was born—a leg wrap business that also became a way for me to continue promoting the livestock industry. Throughout the rest of the year, I worked out the kinks and focused on growing the business. I even hosted a small holiday sale that November, but things had not taken off just yet.

When the spring of 2021 arrived and Texas wrapped up its show season, the rest of the country was just getting started. That’s when Farm Fierce began shipping leg wraps to other states and even had the chance to sponsor a few local shows in Texas.

Today, Farm Fierce has sponsored over 10 jackpot shows, shipped products all across the country, is a partner of Leggett’s You Gotta Believe Livestock, has retail space in two feed stores in Texas, and two feed stores in Ohio. However, none of this would have been possible without the incredible support of family and loyal customers.

About KaytLynn

Hey y'all! I'm KaytLynn, the owner, founder, and businesswoman behind all things Farm Fierce! I started showing lambs in the fall of 2018 and ended my show career in the fall of 2024, at the North American International Livestock Expo in Louisville, Kentucky! While I got a late start into the livestock showing industry, I quickly found my home in my highschool FFA chapter, where my passion for the agriculture industry began.

I am currently starting my senior year of college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where I’m majoring in Animal Science with a minor in Engler Entrepreneurship and Agricultural Communications. Throughout my time at UNL I have worked for Leggett’s You Gotta Believe Livestock Camps in various staff positions, but I currently work as a YGB counselor when time allows. I have interned for the Aksarben Stock Show, Willoughby Livestock Sales, and currently work as a student worker for the Institute of Agricultural and Natural Resources.

Hobbies

In the little free time I have outside of sewing leg wraps and studying for exams, you can find me cheering at Husker Volleyball and Football games. I also spend a lot of my time at livestock shows across the country, helping prep sheep for my younger sister.

Whether it’s working out, spending evenings in the sheep barn, or teaching youth in the agricultural industry, I love staying busy and involved within the agricultural community.

Future

Upon completion of my bachelor’s degree, I have intentions to attend Oklahoma State University for a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Communications, while also operating Farm Fierce full time.
